NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR QUEENSLAND JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

ENTRIES NOW OPEN FOR QUEENSLAND JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS Entries are now open for the Queensland Junior Championships which are being held at the State Athletics Facility from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th February. Championships events are being held in the Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 age groups with athletes permitted to enter events in more than one age group.

Competition details, draft timetable and online entry is available on the Queensland Athletics Website.http://www.qldathletics.org.au/ Competitions Entries close on Thursday 2nd February.

NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR NATIONALS

AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR NATIONALS in MARCH. Athletes are able to qualify for the Australian Junior Nationals in March (Sydney) by achieving qualifying standards or by placing placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd at the: - Queensland State Secondary Schools - Queensland Junior Championships AND 1st and 2nd ONLY (Not 3rd) at: - The 2011 Ergon Energy Athletics North Queensland The athletes are then required to nominate for the team and will then be selected. Nominations will be done online through the Queensland Athletics website and will be open at the beginning of February and will close after the Queensland Juniors. If athletes do not nominate prior to the closing date (tba), they will not be selected in the team.
