FEBRUARY 2009
NEWSLETTER

Welcome everyone to the start of the new season. We hope you all had a fantastic year last year and achieved your goals. This year is shaping up to be a big year as well with many carnivals and lots of club days. Our sign on is on SUNDAY the 8th MARCH from 12pm to 4pm at BARLOW PARK in the grandstand. There will be many people there to help you with any queries you have regarding our Club. Our first club day is on Sunday the 22nd from 12pm til 4.30pm.

Last Year we had many of our athletes competing at State level and we even had a national representative as well so well done to all of you who achieved this. We had very successful Coral Coast and Bendigo Bank carnivals, it was fantastic to see overseas athletes competing along with our very own athletes in the Zone. We also had confirmation that in 2010 we will be holding the Oceania Championships. A lot of work went into preparing a bid for this so congratulations and thank you for all your efforts, Mary-Ann Sykes, Rob Murchie, Jean Lendon and Alana Johnstone to name a few.

This Year we have our two Carnivals Coral Coast and Bendigo Bank. We have moved these to different times of the year to hopefully attract more Athletes with Coral Coast being held a month out from the World Championships, we are hoping to attract some Athletes from the Pacific Islands as well as some of our national athletes. There is also Mulgrave Relay day at Gordonvale and Pentathlon day in Tolga so make sure you keep your Calender handy so you don’t miss out.

We cater for all athletes ranging from Tiny Tots to Adults and Disabled Athletes. So please don’t hesitate to give Shane, Rob, or Tracey a call if you require any further information. You can find our contact details on our home page.

Also if you are able to give a hand at our major fundraiser for the year we would appreciate it. It is the NRL game being held at Barlow Park on February the 28th we will be running one of the canteens. If you can donate a few hours please email me on clcslawn@tpg.com.au .
