JUNE NEWSLETTER 2009

Well what a fantastic year so far, with the year well underway we hope you have settled in to some sort of routine. To all those athletes who competed at the Bendigo Bank Student Carnival we hope you enjoyed it and achieved personal bests and made some new friends. The carnival was a huge success with the help from many volunteers, thank you for your contributions.

We had a huge month of May with official’s courses, competitions and Peninsula Cross Country trials. Congratulations to all those athletes who competed in the Cross country and who have made it to the State Cross Country Titles held next month.

This Month will be a bit quieter as we have cancelled our Club Day for the 7th of June due to the lack of officials being available on this long weekend, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Our next club day will be at Marlin Coast Smithfield due to Relay for Life at Barlow Park it will start at 8.30am and is guaranteed to be lots of fun. Their track is situated at Smithfield State High School, so please come along and support this wonderful club.

Next Month is shaping up to be a huge month, we have just had confirmation of a new sponsor for our Coral Coast Carnival. We would like to thank Mitre 10 Smithfield for coming on board as well as Aus-Steel Sun Smart Structures for sponsoring the 300 Metre Mens. Also Marina Huggett from Big Splash will be sponsoring the Womens 300 Metre Dash for Cash. Nominations for Coral Coast and Winter Championships will be available soon.

Also if you are interested in doing the OZ Squad camp we will need to know ASAP. For further information regarding OZ Squad email Tracey Anderlini at cnsaths@tpg.com.au and she will send you more information.

We look forward to seeing you all out on the track soon. Our next club day at Barlow Park is Friday 19th of June. If you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to ask one of our friendly committee members for help.
